Overview

Manjoe Taiwanese Dumplings, located on the third floor of The Gardens Mall in Kuala Lumpur, brings an authentic slice of Taiwan’s rich culinary heritage right to the heart of the city. This compact eatery specializes in pan-fried dumplings and a range of noodle dishes that showcase traditional flavors with a modern touch.

The star of the menu undoubtedly is their pan-fried dumplings. With options ranging from savory sakura mentaiko to spicy kimchi and cheesy varieties, each dumpling strikes a delicate balance between a crispy exterior and juicy interior. These dumplings are best enjoyed quickly to maintain their signature crunch, accompanied by the house chili sauce that enhances the umami notes without overpowering the palate.

A selection of homemade soup noodles complements the dumplings beautifully. Highlights include the golden pumpkin soup with tender chicken meatballs and the Sichuan mala shrimp dumpling noodle, rich in spicy, bold flavors that linger pleasantly. For those who prefer something lighter, dry noodles and tomato noodle soup offer a satisfying alternative with a springy yet gentle texture.

Rice set meals like the braised minced chicken with yam and mushrooms provide heartwarming comfort food that pairs well with the dumplings and noodles. The richness of the braised chicken is a crowd favorite, celebrated for its fullness of flavor and generous portions.

Space-wise, Manjoe is cozy and functional, though somewhat narrow. It’s bustling during lunch hours and better suited for solo diners or small groups who prioritize the food experience over lingering conversations. Families with toddlers or those requiring stroller access may find the layout a bit restrictive. Despite this, the atmosphere buzzes with a casual, no-frills energy that centers on enjoying quality food.

The target audience includes working professionals seeking a quick yet fulfilling meal, fans of authentic Taiwanese street food, and anyone drawn to bold, comforting flavors. The restaurant’s location within The Gardens Mall provides easy access for shoppers and office workers in Mid Valley City.

Customer feedback highlights consistent satisfaction with the dumplings’ taste and texture, though opinions vary on some noodle dishes depending on the branch. Manjoe’s Taiwanese beef noodles stand out for their tender beef and satisfying broth, especially on cooler days. Meanwhile, their signature dishes rarely disappoint, ensuring a return visit for enthusiasts of Taiwanese cuisine.

Overall, Manjoe Taiwanese Dumplings offers an immersive, flavorful Taiwanese dining experience in a compact setting. It’s a must-visit for dumpling lovers and those eager to explore a menu that respects tradition, embraces variety, and delivers every bite with care.

if you’re going to meet people during lunch the place is very packed and not really suitable for catch-up moments. the space also is very narrow so not suitable for strollers and energetic toddlers. despite the small space, the food is superb though. we ordered the dumplings which are totally yummily consistent. will i repeat again with friends? no. will i repeat again alone? yes.

Super delicious Taiwanese beef noodles I tried some time back at Manjoe Taiwanese Dumplings. It's served with this wave lacey noodles that has a chewy and smooth texture. Slurp factor is definitely there so I'd recommend not wearing light colored shirts especially white. The beef was tender with a good amount of lean and fat pieces that melt in the mouth. The broth warm and comforting and with this kind of rainy weather makes me think of how good a bowl of this would be right now. Also ordered a plate of one of their signature dumplings. This one is longish in shape and had a good char on the surface. The chili oil on the spicy side and had a good umami flavor that's addictive with every bite of that dumpling. Got a bowl of their dry noodles for my daughter. It was alright but the least favorite among the other dishes. Will definitely go again to try out their other noodle dishes.

The restaurant serves not only dumplings, but also delicious noodles. The texture of the noodles is springy, which is just nice to eat. The dry noodles are light in flavour. Food portion is generous. Dumpling is juicy inside and crispy outside. Must eat together with the chilli sauce that come together with dumplings to add more flavour to it. Usually need to queue during lunch hour. Highly recommended

Not bad. The wantan set is quite special. The mala noodles is not spicy at all and no numb. The chicken chop is quite good, crunchy and big. But the price is a bit expensive. It's in the mall so the price is as expected.

Good value of big portion delicious food. The temperature inside the restaurant a lil bit hot, was sweating while having my lunch. Crispy chicken very crunchy and soft, not dry at all. Food taste good and up to expectations. Meanwhile, the waiting time for the food to be serve is a bit long.

Easy order experience. Good amount of variety of noodles and dumplings. Noodles were al dente and freshly made. Dumplings were 6.5/10.. acceptable. The staff were helpful but not the best with their expressions.
